The chart below shows all the states’ red and blue voter percentages, with each state scaled vertically to represent its number of electoral votes, which corresponds roughly to population. The color that carried each state is shown on the left side.

Here’s another, smaller version, without the textual info, and with all the red on the left (hat tip: Mom).

I suppose I could expound some more about how these charts show the ideological divide in our country. But mostly I just think they’re pretty. Pretty colors make Pascal forget about President Booch.
